As part of our commitment to our members’ continuing education, our Interventional Pulmonology / Bronchology Special Interest Group (IP-SIG) together with the TSANZ Education and Training Committee (ETS) have developed guidelines for the recognition of competency skills in different procedural areas. Our competency program is designed to award recognition of competency to respiratory physicians and advanced trainees and define the scope of their clinical practice.
The programs currently available are:
  • Thoracic Ultrasound
  • Flexible Bronchoscopy in Adults
  • Fine Bore Intercostal Catheter (ICC) Insertion
  • Endobronchial Ultrasound Transbronchial Needle Aspiration (EBUS-TBNA)
