Registries Data Management Plan

ASAR Data Request

All research projects must be supported by an RDMP in the manners specified in the Registries Data Management Procedures.
RDMP must be:
a) Prepared and registered with the TSANZ Registries Team.
b) Updated when the research data needs of the research change significantly from those captured in the current RDMP
c) Stored within its system for at least the minimum data retention period required by the project.

The RCQS will use the information in RDMPsto inform the development of TSANZ infrastructure and research support services.

RDMP filled out on this page, is a formal document outlining how data will be handled, organised, and protected during and after a research project. It ensures that data is managed efficiently, meets ethical and legal standards, and remains accessible and reusable for future purposes. The TSANZ Registries Team will establish and maintain a register of Registries Data Management Plans (RDMP).

RDMP is required for:
a) Principal investigators(PI) undertaking:

  • Externally funded research with funds from a government, not-for-profit or commercial entity. They must create and register an RDMP following the announcement of the success of the grant.
  • TSANZ funded research must create and register an RDMP as specified in the
conditions and guidelines for the award.

b) Researcher using TSANZ Registries’ data and resources.
c) Research students (in consultation with Principal investigators) using TSANZ Registries’ data

Authorship

The ASAR Management Committee declares that any publication about the information that is derived from the database will be carefully assessed and approved by the management committee to ensure the information to be published is anonymous, which means only de-identified data will be used in any publication.
Principal investigators will be offered authorship of the main publication. PIs can propose analyses/author publications.

If your request for access to Registries’ data is approved, you will need to sign Data Transfer Agreement.
